No its not. Its a description system. There is a wide leeway on the diagnoses
involved - glad I took that course on the DSM-IV in grad school, it turned

higher functioning Autism, and the person I know as a bit of ADHD, asperger
and Autistic behaviour so he is being treated for 3 c
I don't have any personal experience on Asperger's or autism, though
I've seen it discussed on some of the special-ed lists. That may be
the difference here. So if I understand you, you are saying that this
is an actual test? Paper and pencil, or a set of criteria?

Yes the DSM-IVR does more than that.
For example, what makes asperger different to Autism is that these people
are still very coherent the difference is that these people have a different
outset than a normal person and the only way to diagnose these conditions
and treat them is with the DS
