Where would we be? Economically devastated. This genie was let out
of the bottle 80 years ago and we can adapt or die; it's simple
economic evolution.
But the answer to your question is easy: China would slow down their

I'm not advocating a neutral trade balance, I'm advocating NO TRADE. Screw the

Anyway, this won't work for a state as it lacks the appropriate geographic
expanse for isolationism to

Yeah, I totally agree. And, technically, this is the case assuming

Try an experiment: lock down the border of, say, Louisana: no cross
border workers, only a neutral trade balance, etc. Lock that State
down.

Visa stamps are good for 3 years and visa usually 6. If your stamp is
expired, but you have a valid visa, you can legally work in the USA
but you can't get back in without getting that stamp extension (which

you really think life in the US would be better if we closed off the
borders and we became like the Russians or the Germans or the French
at various times in their histories.
Personally I say to just lock down the borders, recall all soldiers overseas,
disband the military (or make it the border patrol), abolish the IRS, stop
trading with everyone, let gas go to $10 a gallon and let the rest of the world
burn while we feed ourselves. There is no need for any immigra

I work, as I'm sure some of you do as well, in a large enterprise. We've been
doing a lot of outsourcing over the past few years, almost exclusively to a
single company in India.
Anyway, here's the situation: one of our on-shore contractors recently lost his
mother. She died suddenly, unexpec
