The block is a 454 used from 72-75 in the Chevelle, up to 76 in passenger cars
thru 76 and trucks until 79. Also used in the vette in 72.
The 3919840 was on the 396 from 67-69 and on the 427 from 67-70. It is a closed
chamber 106.8 cc head.
The 3873858 was used from 66-67 on the 396 and 66-68
I just used Goodmark full quarters on a 1971 Cutlass Supreme convertible (I
know but still an A-Body) and they fit fairly well. Had to do some
massaging where the quarter met the trunk.
Price does mean a lot. If you shop around you can probably save a couple
hundred dollars.

make additions. The nitrogen was recommended by the dealer and solved the

Have a 69 in the shop right now. It was a Malibu that had been cloned some time
in the past. The rear panel emblem was removed and a replacement was ordered.
The one that we took out had three pins but the one we received has two.
Assuming the one we bought is correct for the 69 what did we remo
POR-15 is a good durable coating but don't just spread it over rust. You still
need to remove as much as humanly possible. If it is exposed to light you can
top coat it. While its still tacky dust it with a self etching primer. That
will give you a rough surface for the paint to bond.

probably do it on the car. I put a repop screen on a Goodmark hood and only one

I have everything drivers side of the firewall but I am either going to have to
buy another forward lamp harness or add the wires to enable the amp gauge. I
have a 72 harness that has some fusible links in it that I could splice in.
