It should work just fine. Haven't tested DHCP in 6.2 but have set up PIX outside interface up as DHCP client in past. The only minor problem I see is that I don't think there is a way to change the MAC address if they restrict DHCP via MAC address, but that might not effect you. --- Wayne Jang

I believe the SX refers to short wavelegth for the GBIC's. I don't recall an option for the 42. Do you have part numbers? If I had to take a shot in the dark, I'd say get 12 SX (6 for the 4K and 6 for the other 6 switches you are ordering). These are just guesses and pert numbers would be help
