I recently picked up a Alteon Switch from Ebay and found some issues with
connectivity between ALteon and Cisco.
The Cisco is showing high runt packets. HAs anyone had an issue like this ?
Has anyone played with the Alteon Switches.
Any inputs ?
Thanks

Folks,
Did you notice - in our forum which claims to be addressing 10,000 Network

Why dont I see discussion on Cisco MIB's, SNMP, RMON ?
Is this not a trouble area ? Or is it becoz ,

That URL still does not lead to the " latest OS od 2924".
It leads to

Sniffer can be best to use to check packets and study packets . There are specialised
tools which you can use to measure bandwidth.
Question- What is your budget
-How often will you have to do bandwidth tests ?
-The number of devices to be monitored is a function of a NMS , e.g Cisco
Someone on this post wanted to know if Sliding window size can actually be monitored.
The reply is yes , it can be .
I used Ether peek to do the same.
Start the Ether peek capture. Stop capture.Double click on any one entry of the packet
table.Under TCP, look for " window" . This is the
