When you ping from the DOS prompt you are pinging from your computer to the router , when you ping in hyperterminal you are pinging from the router to your PC (or whatever other devices you have on your network). DOS Prompt (your PC) ---Ping--> router Hyperterminal (router) --- Ping ---> PC If th
