I was driving across Lake Dillon Dam (Colorado) this morning looking at the
completely frozen lake. In front of the dam was a line of orange drums to keep
stray boaters away from the hydroelectric plant topworks. Near the end of the
drums was a point with a buoy sitting on top fully 15 feet

probably from a J24 regatta.
My favorite backwoods lake regatta was on Flathead Lake in Montana. The YC was

Good Old Boat is a good old fashioned print publication. It's a pretty good
magazine if you haven't had the chance to check it out. I've been a subscriber
since about 2004, and bought all the prior issues on ebay. The magazine has
only been published since about 1998. I will admit,
