The Prothonotary Warbler was still at Centennial Park as of about 11AM. The
bird was found by walking the loop trail around the lake to the northern
side, and was popping in to feed in some chokecherry bushes in a hollow just

At about noon today, there were two Black-bellied Plovers in breeding
plumage along the south shore at Loloff. Also present were (only) 11
Whimbrel, LB Dowitchers, Avocets, Stilts, etc. Five goslings were toddling
around after their Canada goose parents on the far shore.

Phoebes and a Chipping Sparrow. The whole thing got blown up by a Cooper's
Hawk, but the group was reforming in the same area when we left around
1:15PM.

he central garden area of Garden of the Gods
in Colorado Springs, we watched a Prairie Falcon pair chase a migrating
Osprey, and a Raven bomb a Broad Winged Hawk, and some White Throated Swifts
and a Cooper's Hawk also flew over in the heavy winds present at about 1:30
PM.

At about 9:30 this morning, we stumbled on a Long Eared Owl at Cherry Creek
State Park, in the wooded area east of the Lake Loop and closer to the
reservoir.
