I saw the recent discussion about German umlauts and it reminded me of a problem with spellchecking German words in KDE. First thing, KDE spellchecking German complains about could not start ispell, make sure it's installed and in your path. Spellchecking English works fine, though.

Is it wanted ? kcontrol does not appear in the menu. You only have access to each kcontrol part separately, but not as a single application. This would be nice to have it in the KDE config submenu.
