    I have MixW set up with my 746 with no problem.       Under the menu dropdown "Configure", select TRCVR CAT/PTT     Make sure PTT via CAT Command is checked     Make sure the Com Port is not checked for disabled.       Also under "Configure", be sure that Disable CAT is not checked.
