Seek doesn't work for any non-native format - not only apple lossless.
Non-native formats need to be transcoded by the server to a format the

I too am having problems with the latest official release. I ripped
some new music to my library on C drive. I clicked the clear music
library and rescan for new music, in Slimserver. Slimserver has
cleared the music library and now appears to scan the music files, but
in fact does not load
These is the resulting log.
- Music still does not start playing without stopping and starting the
stream.
- Browser still shows incorrect song that's actually playing.
- Stopping and starting makes it skip to the middle of another song
down on the list.

Consider the following scenario:
1. The music directory contains links to other folders.
2. One of those folders contains a link, and this link file is invalid.
In this case, the link file is an empty file (size 0) with a .lnk
That pretty much sums it up. I was wondering how long the current
version has been out and if the next version is coming out soon.

You need 1 GByte of IDE flash to be comfortable, and 256 MBytes of RAM.

I downloaded 6.5.2, Mac version, before I went on a month's holiday - I
have been running 6.5.1. Just got back and tried to update.
It wouldn't install. Just flashed the System Preferences window for a

FreeNAS/SlimNAS might be another option. Probably more of an effort for
the first installation experience, but imho much easier to _install_ than

Set my screen saver to current time using datetime plugin(time is
displayed in english rather than numerically). This has worked
flawlessly for about 6 months. Lately the screen has been blank and
goes blank even when on after stopping music. There is no difficulty
getting back into slim server;

backup your configuration. This can be HD or a USB stick. Install the
plugin you like and it will backed up to that

and I connect to the Squeezenetwork ok but the device seems to think I
am in the US. A number of radio stations cannot play because they say
not available outside of the UK and also my My Local Radio thinks I
am in Dallas.
