HP's new ultra-slick HP 2120 Linux Media Server is launching in a week
and apparently there are review units kicking around out there.
Has anyone had a chance to play with one and find out if it's possible
to get Slimserver loaded on it?
If possible, this would allow me to retire my franken-NAS
I have 'Group compilation albums together' selected in SqueezeCenter
settings. The 'Various Artists' under 'Artits' then lists several of
my compilation albums, but not all of them. Or it lists the album, but
only one of the songs from it is there. The others are listed by the
artist directly.

Hi, I work from a Mac, ripping CDs with Max and playing audio via
SlimServer with FLACs. Everything works perfectly well except for about
1 album in 20 I get an error for only the first track of that album:

That is from the -album- and The Who is listed as the artist on 91
tracks. They are -exclusively- listed on those tracks. On the other
4 tracks, The High Numbers are listed. The Who is not.

when SC7 says "list by band" thats the same as saying list by album
artist, and all it means is it DISPLAYS that tag as "by album artist"
it does not mean to suggest it SORTS by that tag.

There is no way, a 20 track album with every track having the same
"album artist" info and complication flag=no should appear under
"various artists" just because there is a guest singer on one track.

I had the same problem after a clean install. Gary's tip: "Clear library
and rescan everything" solved the problem. I changed the language from
English to Norsk during the scan. Maybe thats the reason?

I got the Duet a few days ago, great, I love it. But got a question:
There is a plug for earphones on the controller. If I plugin ear
phones, I can hear the noises from the controller. But I would like to
stream musik out there as well, is that possible as well?

the same random drops in connectivity. I only have one wireless
connection to the SqueezeCenter--just from the Duet receiver. The only

I used to follow Musicbrainz guidelines 100%, and hit this same problem,
I had my multi-disc tagged with the (disc X), but Squeezecenter
identified them as different albums, so I struggled some time, because
I really wanted to treat them as the same album.
In the end I realized it didn\'t matter

But if SqueezeCenter is playing music controlled by the SBC and I want
to play music from the SC via internet, I see in the main menu which
player is 'active'. I can choose then the other internet player. But
can you not hear both at the same time??

the home and home premium versions DO support remote desktop OUT so you
can control the xp machine (if XP Pro which includes the remote server
bit).

I have both set to deliver an identical Alarm in the mornings, the data
stream being a BBC Radio playlist. All well and good.

Can the Transporter or Squeezebox for that matter be configured as
access point? I'm sure to have read this somewhere.
I would like to extend my wireless range. Since my Transporter is in
the middle of my router and the room where I want (better) wireless
reception, it seems like the perfect idea

In Windows I set Wake on Lan for the Network Adapter under the Device
Manager (under the Power Magagement Tab). I have attached a picture of
this screen.
I'm not familiar with Linux, so I can't help you there.
