I think the USB modem is party of the problem. Myguess is the SB cannot conatct the Internet directly - it can only communicate with PC or devices on your LAN. Normally when playing MP3 radio and Podcast, the SB contact the source directly bypassing the PC. In you setup this cannot happen. TO

I've seen multiple copies of CD's many times and always found it was down to a data error. I have been adding Album Art via MP3Tag but still using iTunes (for ripping and editing other data - it's faster and drives my ipod for in car/at work). iTunes doesn't seem to relearn from updated tag data

Agreed - it's almost certainly your PC that's causing the bottle-neck. My library is almost all ALAC and it plays/pauses/skips the same speed as mp3, which is native to the SB3. With only 512Mb RAM perhaps (if you haven't done so already) you could cut out uneccesary running services? Worth an

I have the last IMac, so I guess it's Intel. perian allows to play dvix files on QT trough frontrow, an apple media center, so I guess it might change something in QT , but i took it off, just in case. What about the FLAC problem ... it's not a mac issue . Again, what kind of solution do I have
