t of course the mac doesn't give it one. And if I
give it a manual IP address then it asks for details like the router IP
and DNS server IP, neither of which seem to apply at all...
What am I doing wrong?

I've noticed AlienBBC no longer properly works as it is, just the audio
play bit. Is this an mplayer thing, or just the plugin that needs an
update? Something to do with iPlayer?

NG since I love my SB3 and up
until two months ago would have recommended it to anyone who would
listen. I sold a £4,000 CD player after I got the SB3, since I liked it
so much. Now I can't play music!!!

You could experiment with different wireless transmission channels on
the router. Try 6 if you are in the US or 7 if you are in Europe. It
improved reception at one of my locations quite significantly.

I bought a new router (Netgear DG834GT) and even though the wireless
signal is slightly worse than my old one, the SB3 now works perfectly,
even running WPA encryption.
No idea why the old one stopped playing nicely with the SB3 but at
least the problem is solved...

I'm sure that i used to have a 24 time/date format on my slim3 player
(as the screensaver in not playing mode). Now i get a 12h format
whenever i select the time and date screensaver and cannot find
anywhere to change this...help please..

ADSL router (Linux box WAN port is on its DMZ). The Squeezebox has all ports

3. Squeezebox is wired to an 802.11g bridge/switch which links to a Belkin
pre-N access

I've been having a few problems since switching over to 6.0 on my WinXP server

First, I can't really quantify it, but it seems like the Squeezebox display is
displaying the info for the next song a good 2-3 seconds before the previous
song is finished playing

I raised a bug request a while back in relation to the playback of
continuous mix's where if two or more Squeezebox's are synchronised, a gap
is foreably introduced to allow the players to resync.
Will this still be the case with the Squeezebox 2?
