I recently put all the Bayerischer Rundfunk HLS streams in my Favourites
on LMS. I chose the HLS streams because they are better quality than the
'standard' MP3 streams; for example BR Klassik streams at 192 kb/s AAC.

I have found the page on NHK's website that has streams of their 3 radio
services here:

However, clicking on the icon to play nothing happens. Are these streams
geoblocked or is there another reason? I'd be very interested to hear

Well I have now updated to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 but the problem with
the prompt from System Preferences asking me to update LMS remains -
i.e. I choose to update, nothing happens and I get the reminder pop up
again later. Any more ideas please?

Yes I agree most PSBs can be played on the Squeezebox, but there are
some other examples I can think of:
All Belarus national PSB streams are WMA 128k but can't be played on the
Squeezebox e.g. http://www.tvr.by/liveair/radius.asx (Radius FM)
All the Chinese PSB networks do the same thing; they

I have now managed to get it working again. To do this, I held the
restart button in for several seconds to force the factory settings
again. This time a message came up "Factory Settings Restored" which
didn't appear this morning. Once past this screen I was able to connect
OK - I restarted the Touch and it's fine!

It would be great if Olive could use a VLC-based audio/media player as
this app is free, open-source and can play just about anything. The
latest version plays the brand-new Opus audio codec. I'm sure this

because they play AAC natively. But it obviously uses some weird

My SBT has decided to stop working properly this morning. Touching any
menu option that involves connecting to the internet such as Favourites,
Shoutcast, TuneIn etc results in no response apart from the bleep. Also
the screen is blank on standby instead of showing the time. I did a
network diagno

every day or 2 days at present.

I forgot to mention that my recent problems were caused by Logitech's
servers playing up. The mysqueezebox.com page was either very slow or
often came up with a 'Bad Gateway' error when trying to load using a
web browser. Thankfully everything was back to normal by Monday

times and it has now screwed something up?
Next time I'm going to wait until the Squeezebox prompts me for an

It seems that the Tunein Options now work, and have been for the last
couple of days. Good news.
Still doesn't show the radio tower icon on direct streams though.
Perhaps this is intentional, although it seems odd to drop it.
