Hi,
I'll try restarting SC next time. Too bad there isn't a setting I can
change to allow a more swift catchup. At least, now I know what to
look for, drastic time changes on the SC host.
Thanks for your help.

Not short of restarting SC or each of the players.

Hi,
All sorts of things could mess with this Microsoft OS! Scan disk,
windows time update, etc.
Any quick way to shock it into action?

Hmm, the log show that SC's idea of the players' time epoch is way out
compared with that of the server (probably about 23s at the time you
took the log snapshot). Every few seconds SC adjust its idea of the
players' epochs by 5ms, so it is going to take around 6 hours to get
back in sync.

Hi,
Here is my SC info:

What version of SC are you running?
Does you server running SC go to sleep and do these sync problems occur
after it has woken up? In which case you are probably suffering from
'bug 10634' (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=10634), which
should have been fixed in SC 7.3.2.

Hi,
Sync started flaking out again today. I attached the log.
Thanks for looking.

Your best bet is probably to wind Synchronization Start Delay up as far
as you can bear: maybe 1-2 seconds. As I said, syncing is always a
little hit and miss with SB1s because of the older protocol
limitations.

There are/have been a number of third-party plugins that listen for

Hello,
The previous log snippet I posted was from right after I turned on the
debug setting. I'll throw down another snippet after running for a
day; however, I must say it hasn't gotten out of sync yet.

Hi,
Sounds great, I'll leave it running.
Here is a sample:
Code:
[09-04-06 15:04:21.0041] Slim::Player::Player::trackJiffiesEpoch (927)
00:04:20:07:f1:7d adjust jiffies epoch -0.001s

00:04:20
If you have enough disk space then just leave the log running. It will
compress well (with ZIP or whatever) when you are ready to upload it.
Or, for this case, you could turn it off now and turn it back on when
it happens. That may mean that we don't see the trigger to the problem.
In any case, a
Hi,
I setup the debug log level; however, it's not exhibiting the issue
anymore. I'll have to wait a day or so for it to come back, do you
think I should turn the logging back to normal until the issue comes
back, then turn it back on?
-thanks

What version of SqueezeCenter do you use? If you don't have any Booms,
you might try SqueezeCenter 7.2. Version 7.3 introduced a new syncing
framework that's great with SB2 and newer, but IIRC some here have said
it's worse with SB1 and Slimp3 players.

How about turning off internal Flac decoding for the SB2+ units?
Thats likely to be the issue for older hardware, it doesn't support
Flac decoding natively. Syncing is supposed to handle this, there are
obviously issues with it though.
Have a look in Bugzilla (http://bugs.slimdevices.com) to see

Hi,
I was wondering what the best and easiest way would be to re-sync my
players. I listen to a lot of Internet radio, and every few days they
get out of sync. Do you know what the best way is to shock them back
into sync again?
So far, I've only changed one setting in attempt to keep them in

No obvious, specific advice. Does restarting the station (press <<) not

could be helpful.

As the proud new owner of an original Squeezebox, I'm having a problem
when it syncs with the newer units in my house.
Specifically new songs pause twice at consistent intervals when they
start on all units and it takes a couple of seconds until the SB1 syncs
up correctly.
Does anyone know of a
