Hello I recently got my Squeezebox 1s up and running (amazingly they
still work well!). I add a Raspberry Pi 4 with a HifiBerry Amp2 and
piCorePlayer, running Squeezelite. Everything works well, but the sync
is off between the Squeezebox Classic and the RPi 4.
The whole system is: RPi4 server

I seem to have a new issue :)
I have two SB3 players synced together, I have Slimserver installed on
Ubuntu Linux x64 on an Intel NUC running ESXi. I am playing exclusively
FLAC files. The two players are hardwired across GB ethernet, and pings
to both players and server are a 100% solid 1ms
Try switching both players to MySB.com see if problem continues, both
Sync'd and not.

Wifi ,you can probably investigate wich channels that afe in use by
neighbouring networks with some tool like inSSIDer or similar .
Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 Meridi
WiFi for the radio, Ethernet for the Touch. It has happened with ALAC
files from my library and internet streams (jazzradio.com). None of this
has been problematic in the past.
I guess tomorrow I will reboot the network starting with the router to
see if that helps.

Yesterday I started experiencing frequent rebuffering when my Radio and
Touch are synced. Never had the problem before. Individually the players
are fine. The Touch is connected via Ethernet and the Radio via WiFi. I
do the sync using iPeng.
I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting this...any
7.5.4 was released last week. I have been using it since January, when
it was still beta. I haven't had any problems with it, and haven't seen
massive reports of problems, but as always at least some users are
having problems that they attribute to the upgrade. I'd advise
upgrading because 7.5.4 c

Occasionally I would like to be able to sync all 3 machines together
but there doesn't seem to be a facility to do this i.e. you can sync

I'm experienceing a similar problem with the addition of a third SB;
SB1 - Duet
SB2 - Boom
SB3 - Boom
All devices are wireless (no issues on that front) and I previously had
SB1 and SB2 synchronised, running on SBS 7.4.1 (hosted on XP).
I've just upgraded the server hardware and installed WHS,
I picked up an SB1 cheap on craigslist a while back and tried to add it
to my mix, but ultimately gave up.
After going through a number of troubleshooting steps the basic
problem, from what I experienced, is the buffer on the SB1 is just too
small and it can't compensate for the problems that the

When players are synced, SBS terminates the streams and redistributes to
all so in effect it does "proxied streaming" automatically. Since 7.3 (I
think or maybe 7.3.3) sync mechanism has changed to allow internet

I have a paid Napster account and several playlists. Recently I noticed
that only certain playlists and other music was NOT synced b/w

AFAIK SC doesn't alter the tempo to re-sync. Instead it will jump ahead
(or back?) as needed to restore sync. It usually does this when changing
tracks, but I think it can do it mid-track now as well.
There are various sync parameters you can set in SC Settings. I think

It is indeed impossible to sync Winamp with a hardware player. You
could try Softsqueeze or Squeezeplay, but those have problems too
depending on OS and soundcard.

the years and its gotten a lot worse just in the last few days. I do run
the SQCenter 7.3.2 over wifi to a Squeeze box and use the latest
Softsqueeze on a windows vista set up. The only change I made recently

I experience the exact same problem as the OP.
SB3 (wired) - SBB (wifi) - Tranquil PC running running Clarkconnect
Sync is out in the morning when playing a radio stream (wma - haven't
checked others mp3, etc.) by around a second, though this can vary. A
player/start and stop makes no difference

Thanks guys. Muggy, you were right about Squeezecenter needing a
restart. I did that and it is perfectly in sync now.
Yesterday I would say it was around half a second off. This morning it
was about a full second off before I restarted Squeezecenter.

specific to transcoded streams (e.g. ALAC) where the transcoding

I've spent the last half hour or so searching the forums, but didn't
quite see the same issue here, so if I missed something, I apologize.
My issue is that I have three wireless Squeezebox's (2 SB3's and a
SB2). When I sync them up, the sync is near perfect. That's not the

Feel free to check out The Synchronizer, a plugin which allows you to
predefine sets of players that are synced, and rapidly switch between
them. It's not very dynamic, if that's what you're after, but it might
do some of what you're hoping for.
