I used to have a pretty good synch with Softsqueeze and Slim server over the years and its gotten a lot worse just in the last few days. I do run the SQCenter 7.3.2 over wifi to a Squeeze box and use the latest Softsqueeze on a windows vista set up. The only change I made recently was adding a new

DrewSB, You do not say what version of SC you are running or what hardware and OS. Does you server running SC go to sleep when not being used? If so http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=10634, fixed in 7.3.2 may be your problem. Otherwise, gathering a logfile (go to Settings / Advances /

Synchronization isn't really supported with "software" players - that includes the Controller's player, Softsqueeze, SqueezePlay or squeezeslave. People claim to use synch with the software players, but the results are varied. I've tried between hardware players and squeezeslave, but found the re

I experience the exact same problem as the OP. SB3 (wired) - SBB (wifi) - Tranquil PC running running Clarkconnect Sync is out in the morning when playing a radio stream (wma - haven't checked others mp3, etc.) by around a second, though this can vary. A player/start and stop makes no difference

Try restarting squeezecenter My players sync up perfectly when squeezecenter has not been running for very long (say, less than a week) but gradually become offset from each other if the server's been up for much longer. Starting, stopping, unsyncing, resyncing etc has no effect on this but a sq

To elaborate: it looks like the bugs that have been mentioned are specific to transcoded streams (e.g. ALAC) where the transcoding process is slow (perhaps on a NAS install). Most other use cases seem to be already much better behaved in the 7.3 series, and the bugs that have been identified are
