Ed, The Hi-Cur message comes from the base K2, not the KPA100. Since your KPA100 is reporting only 1 watt output (actually this may be none), the base K2 is trying to pump full power into the amp in an attempt to produce some power output but it is failing. You should look at your KPA100 to see

There were Flying Pigs from 7040 to 7050 kHz. The standard Elecraft CW Net frequency is 7045 kHz. It had far too many Pigs to allow me to run the net there. 7044 kHz was quiet when I sent my series of QRL ? so I ran the net there. No one owns any frequencies in the amateur radio spectrum.
