I just built a Ten-Tec 1225 Tuner and all went fantastic.
I'm using an older K2 now QRP and am going to order a K1 tomorrow.
I know this has to have been covered to death but it's late and my
quick search didn't yield much.

I just about fell off the chair when I listened to the receiver on the K3

it wasn't too far off, all things considered.
I used the the CWT function on the KX3 and generated a -100dBm signal in to
it. Once I zeroed the signal on the CWT meter I changed bands and it was

I use a heil foot switch and a heil hand switch. I like having both and
sometimes I use VOX but when the dogs bark it is embarrassing. I sometimes get
tired of foot stamping so having a hand switch is a nice option. Both are super
cheap.

layer of silicon rubber to the inside of the metal case where the speaker
mounted then mounted the grill cloth and spacer to the case. Wait

Last week we had a thunderstorm with a lightning strike into a neighbour house.
Some equipment connected to the telephone line is not working anymore and the
K3 immediately went into TX mode after I switched it on. As I found out later
this was related to the IC U1 (TI SN75C1406G4, costs < 1 ?) o
Being a SDR there is really no suppressed carrier as the carrier is
never created only the sideband for the mode selected. So unless you
have signficant splatter there should not be an IMD problem with a K3.
Again assuming no splatter and a properly functioning radio.
