They were about 3 kHz apart. Also I tested XIT and RIT. As soon as those are
enabled delta-f should lite up when the encoder is moved. It didnt. It seemed
to be a software glitch which cleared with a power cycling

Not to overdue the praises, but if I am not sure my equipment is received
correctly, I just fire it up to test. What a sweet piece of equipment for
the shack. I especially love testing my K3 6 meter with PR6 installed to
make sure it isn't the equipment but the band.

Ron,
Since I live near the island, I will need to go and visit George and find
out what his K3 plans are. Might even take mine along. Er, maybe the K2
and KX1.

I was recently studying the schematics of the KPA500 and looked at the
specification of the VRF2933 devices which are used in the RF
output to amplified stereo speakers when plugged into the external speakers
or the phones jack on the front panel, I don't get any POP. Therefore, to
remove the pop with the internal speaker, plug into the external speaker
jack or the front phone plug... I guess... ;-)

for the
KX3 design when successfully implemented. Having 2 meter FM is not my
requirement. I have a TH72d and TS2000 for playing around and the TH72d
takes care of my VHF UHF needs as a portable station including APRS and
Packet.

They are side by side on the shelf and the Remote sensors are pretty much
the length of the interconnecting cable away.

Johnny, this is a question that will bring a lot of varying opinions. The
Schurr Profi is a truly great key. Mr Schurr no longer

Win7 drivers work well. I also use 64 bit and the Professional version vs
Home. I only do PRO, NEVER Home versions. There are differences which you
can determine through an on-line search.

I have an RS-20 but use an RS-35M dedicated to my K3. I have it and my
SteppIR controller plugged into an APC 700VA UPS (from
http://www.refurbups.com/ ) to prevent loss of AC power from adversely
affecting the radio
Mine is in place for around 3 years. I keep the supply set at 14.1 volts
with the proper jumper on the PWRgate.
