Hello,
Expect more activity from Australia on 7 and 14 MHz.
VK licence structures have just changed, and now former novice and
novice limited hams will have the new standard licence, which allows
access to all HF bands, except 1.8MHz & WARC.
Previously they were restricted to 3.5, 21 and 28MHz,

traditional anti-seize (I'm fond of the silvery stuff from
Permatex/Loctite, myself). And for the ones that won't come apart
any more, a short shot of Kroil will free them right up.

I finished my KPA100 last night. Everything checks out ok except for
low power output from the bands that use two of the filters. 17/20 and
18/12/15. I get full power on 80 and 40 (160 untested). Less than 1W
on the affected
hat could be because I've
already had one faulty relay on the 160 module during this build.
Any hints?

My bail adjusts nicely and doesn't bend the board and it has never
fallen over.

Yep - I was relying on Elecraft not asking for the faulty relay back!!
(in one piece!) Even getting the pliers on K8 alongside the 160Rx socket
and with an L on each side isn't easy.

Had to break off this afternoon to attend a nephews birthday party and
do some token woodworking in the bathroom that I am supposed to be
renovating, but got back to the bench this evening and have just
finished the crystals - first toroid winding session tomorrow.

, if I wanted to!
I was around there before they had finished putting the phone down!
Original package was shipped on 3 March - I got it on 26 March, ordinary
mail might have been better!

The Summerland Amateur Radio Club from Lismore has won the all-band
all-mode multi-operator section of the Australia-wide John Moyle Field
Day contest. The HF rig used was Elecraft K2 #3666 with Tokyo Hi-Power
HL-200B amplifier.
