Has anyone else noticed similar? I still haven't gotten a definitive
answer, and am curious to see if others had experienced the same.
Also, I've noticed that FM always requires a bit more mic gain to achieve
the same level of ALC action as opposed to sideband. Can anyone confirm?

BTW, I've noticed that the SSB power bug is still there on K3 #2730, and
this was after reverting back to 4.14

Just out of curiosity exactly how would you propose to do this. The IF
is limited by the filter in use and since the P3 operates off of the
IF passband, i may be dense, but I cannot for the life of me see how
this could be done... after thinking about it for a moment or two...

I know there are ways of doing things remotely now with the K3, but nothing
quite as simple or streamlined as what Icom is offering.

of the renovations to the Secretariat, none of our

we'll be back up and running within the next 4 to 6 months.

I bought an Aoyue 937+ digital controlled ESD soldering station. It's
Chinese made and nowhere near as expensive as American brands, but works
well and holds temperature just fine. Many tips to choose from also.

Delete whatever firmware is in the K3 utility folder then click the button
to check for updates. The utility should then automatically download a copy
of 4.14 from the Elecraft FTP server.

Nate et all,
I stand corrected. Looks like K3 #2730 also has this issue. I didn't
notice at first, but then noticed it last night. Performing a TX calibration
didn't really fix it completely, although it did help.
Glad to know that the boys at Aptos are working on it.

Please disregard; just had a look at the manual and max output on 6 meters
is 70-85W depending on frequency. I assume then that the radio is
automatically dropping down to a safe output power rather than cooking at
100W. Guess I should have checked the manual first! My bad!

Well, I just wasn't sure I would use it, I had such good results with
just the DUAL PB function. So I sought out the weakest signal I could
find this morning, R5ZZ, who was not copiable here, but I could hear
some Ws working him. I dialed in the APF and there he was, and
copiable. So mea
