which are line of sight across the water their signals are MASSIVE. The only
time I have ever seen the K3 S-meter reading "end-stop" is on 2m. I can work
these guys using 2.5W to rubber duck on an FT-817 standing on the shack
desk.
So I think IP3 is very important on VHF.

Elecraft kits as well.
I think that the Elecraft transverter (or any decent trasnverter) in front
of a K3 will give you a better receiver than the IC9100 will have.

p is OK? You can buy these things
on eBay for $2, I kid you not, but I bought one once and tossed it after 5
minutes it was so bad.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has had this problem and solved it
satisfactorily because I'm getting withdrawal symptoms not being able to
work digim
hese troublesome USB adapters. (I also made sure the PC I ordered
came with a Windows XP "downgrade". I *know* everything I want to use works
under XP, but I've seen plenty of reports of problems with Vista and 7. This
won't be an option for much longer - another reason for get

would give a reliable connection. Consequently I haven't tried to use them.
Has anyone come across connectors like this and knows what you are supposed
to do with them?

Isn't that what TX EQ is for? I agree, a way to switch quickly between TX EQ
settings would make it more useful.

your code from the paddle because the paddle provides dot
and dash closures and the speed is set by a control, making it a simple
lookup. From a straight key it would have to figure out your speed before it
could even try to determine what you were sending.

sent to an OpenDNS page warning you about it instead. It's just an extra
level of protection. I put this into our network router so all our PCs use
it automatically.

Surely the opposite sideband suppression is the same as it always was? All
that has changed is the ability to hear it. To restore the previous
functionality just move LO CUT up a bit and set the 50 and 100Hz EQ settings
to the minimum.

see that they could contribute to unpleasant or tiring sounding audio for
those blessed with acute hearing, I can't see that they would result in the

the speakers through the cables. To use the ready-made adapter you'd also
have to snip the mono plugs off the speaker cables and replace them with
stereo plugs, one wired to the tip and the other the ring.
