a very easy rig to remote control. But I found my
local K3 better than either 2000. I ordered my 2nd K3 a while ago, to
replace the TS-2000 at the six meter remote base.

have a Icom 551D that had a great squelch. I left the rig on all weekend.

other than key down observations. Invest in a peak reading meter. I like
the Autek because it has two meters, peak reading forward power, and
peak reading, auto adjusted SWR reading. One has to do nothing but look
at this meter to tell what is going on.

are hitting, due to the lack of proper mounting, or spacing. Also,
visually check to make sure no wires are touching the fan blades. I have
this happen a lot at work on many computers.
But visually check those fans. Spin the blades manually, there should be
no binding.
know! She will not let the K3 ride in the back seat in a
cardboard box. I'm not sure if I need room for a key/headphones,power
supply etc in the Pelican case, as those can also easily be carried in
a soft tool bag.
