Joseph, Do you have the menu microphone selection correct? It is the main menu. Go to the MIC SEL entry and turn VFO A knob until it says FP.L bIAS. That is what I use for my MD2 and the MH2 should be similar. I run with the Mic gain set at about 37 and the CMP set to about 24. You could u

Still having trouble. It does seem to transmit SSB - I enabled the 2 tone test and that worked when I pushed the PTT. But it doesn't seem that the mic is putting audio into the rig. I'll need to run SSB for field day, I'd also be happy with suggestions on what to do if this mic doesn't work. I

When running ARQ Pactor with my K3, I notice the power level seems to wander requiring the mic level to be adjusted, this is noticeable as a change in ALC indication. I suspect those running sound card data modes may also see a similar variation in ALC levels. Note, I am not running power level

Max, I also noted this with my K3 last week. My guess is that this is a burp in the latest firmware. I tune my amplifier with a string of dots (abt 30 wpm) and note the bar graph takes about a second and a half to indicate an accurate power level... Anyone else seeing this?? Joe

I made several QSO's in the VHF contest this past weekend on 6M using a 40M EDZ at a whopping 15 feet (thanks to a recent tornado) and sigs were excellent...I turned the pre-amp off and could still easily copy signals. The amateur who had receive problems on 6M must have a problem in his K3...

So my conclusion is: nothing comes out of the LINE OUT. I looked through the manual but only found the LIN OUT level parameter which I cranked up to the max but that doesn't fix it. I was a bit too fast. I connected a set of PC speakers to the "line out" and they let me hear everything. So it's
