I have a problem with my Exchange 2000 server, receiving messages
from Exim mail servers. I can't receive messages from Exim 3.32 and
3.35 servers (maybe other versions, but Exim is the only one for which
this has occurred). The NDR received by the sender contains a 500

Using Exchange 5.5 SP4 on Windows 2000 Server SP2
We have set up a group calander in a public folder which all users have perrmission to create items, but only to modify there own and not delete anything.
There are 2 owners defined on the
Exchange2000 implements pipelining as per RFC2197. It actually improves
performance.
I do not know how to disable it, but perhaps using an SMTP relay of a
different species afront of your Exchange Server, like Postfix or
Sendmail perhaps?

Why? When we deployed Exchange 5.5 on Win2K, Microsoft asked us if we wanted
to deploy Exchange 2000 beta and they would support it. I said no because I
wasn't sure the A/V or backup would work. Note howver I had near zero

normally use it for people that leave, use an alternate recipient but I've

In exchange admin, in the recipients container, open up the mailbox
properties in question. Go to the delivery options tab, and on the bottom
of the window, where the alternate recipient box is, hit the radio button,
specify the alternate recipient, then click the check box to deliver to both
The few times I have used it I just checked the Send to both... check box and it
worked.

I have used it quite a bit to send to both and only ran in to a problem when
the alternate recipient was at a hotmail account...never really pursued that
one problem, as hotmail is weird anyway
