to get PCMCIA working on my Compaq Armada and I just did an upgrade to 6.1
from 6.0 - and the old kernel source (2.2.9) is now gone and I honestly
don't recall removing it.

Just to be clear - I was able to load via an IDE CD-ROM - the PCMCIA
support was just for post install.

seems to increase largely in memory and cpu usage. It keeps creeping up

visual environment, like Frontpage or Composer in Netscape. I agree
with you though, Emacs handles the formatting for readability and is
fine if you don't mind hardcoding as opposed to letting software produce

The ttyS3 serial port (my modem) keeps losing its uart setting. It would
occasionally do this in mdk6.0, and I put at "setserial /dev/ttyS3 uart 16550A"
in the local init script.

I was cleaning up my system tonight, removing unnecessary packages. I
removed the portmap package, but noticed that it showed up again in the
output of 'rpm -qa'.
