Hi All,
No, I am not using ACPI. Altough, that is what I would like to have.
Unfortunately, the stock kernel supplied by Mandrake does not have the
ACPI support compiled in.

Title: Suggestions for Mandrake 9.1
Hi All,
With the hype finally dying down from the current round of distro releases I thought I would add my two cents into the pool for the next version of Mandrake.

It would be nice if it could send commands down the serial line to reset the
device when it detects the disconnection of the remote user. What would

Linux can already to nfs over TCP on client side. Server side is still
in development. You can patch your kernel yourself tho to play with
server side NFS TCP.

Yes, you can. But you can even go one step further: you can put a
Debian or Mandrake Server in as well. That way you get the full benefit
of Linux :)
More seriously, you can always say during the Mandrake 9 installation
process that it should authenticate against a windows NT 4 Server, which

5. I don't know... I like some new stuff to play with, I'd prefer they were
made an option and then put in a "beta" or "experimental" menu option.
doing that helps the developers because they will likely get more bug
reports... if no-one ran beta stuff, it would stay be
