I'm so sorry to hear Lucy is having such bad bowel troubles. I hope
it's the antibiotic. Seems like a likely culprit. I think fasting for
12-18 hours is a very good idea. I've done this with Ember, and I
think it helps them gain some ground, and those intestine
Just watch her for dehydration. Sub-Q would be better than orally, if she's
not holding anything in that way. Sending healing vibes for her! Try sub-Q
fluids. Maybe just plain boiled chicken (or even raw?)... TINY amounts
though.

Well, Lucy ate a whole bowl of her turkey and her ears were cooler, so I
took her temp and it is down to 103.1 (from 104.5 this morning and early
afternoon), knock on wood. But she squirmed a lot while I had the
thermometer in her, and I used one of those thin plastic disposable sheaths on

Other than that, I don't know. Their immune systems are weak because of the
FeLV. Many cats always carry herpes virus, which can cause URI, and it just
rears its head every once in a while when their immune system goes down from

just made an appointment with a really good veterinary referral center for next
Friday, with an internist. Unfortunately it is over 1.5 hours away, and Lucy
hates hates hates the car, so I am stressed abo
There other one is still going, actually. I tried it after leaving the
first one. The moderator was better, but some of the members are really mean and
I ended up leaving because they kept saying nasty things in response to
suggestions I made.
