I'm just wondering how many of you have a Finale (or Finale/MIDI)-dedicated

engraving and perhaps related activities (such as MIDI sequencing, maybe
audio processing). In other words, your Internet, business activities,

The university bands that I know of in the US have low C bass
clarinets. In an orchestra situation, I would write for it, and
perhaps cue it in bsn or contra bsn in case it is not available.

Hi all,
Importing a.mus file from mac to PC is not some thing I do often. But when
I do I more often than not get problems. The Mac file (2k1) is not
recognized as a valid file format by my Winfin 2k4. Do any of you get
similar difficulties? Am I doing some thing wrong? This particular fil

I would assume that most all Bari saxes have low As. In fact, most of
the high schools around my area have them too.
Assuming a Bass Clarinet goes down to C is not a good idea. Perhaps for
a pro ensemble, but even then, a lot of clarinet guys like the ones that
go down to Eb better for some rea
Assuming low A on bari sax is an acceptable thing these days, as even
student models are now coming with them. To cover all bases, you could
simply put a smaller notehead on the same stem on an harmonically
appropriate note as an ossia, but you should find that especially with
pros, the low A

In this case, common practice offers no obvious standard. I would probably extrapolate
from the rules for 6/4. In 6/4, the whole measure rest is just a single whole rest
while a half measure is half-plus-quarter or dotted half. Extrapolating for 6/1 would
mean

I use the Custom Line Tool every time I need a word placed at any angle. It
does this beautifully, and there are no lines involved.
Also, I use it every time I need to write the name of a Tuplet which is for

That strikes me like saying that it is OK if a car manufacturer
decided not to include any forward gears because with a lot of
practice and patience, people can learn how to drive backwards
really well.
One of the early European auto makers, I forget which one, built his
first cars w.o brakes.
While there are many reasons not to like Sibelius (just as for
midi-users there are many reasons not to like Finale) I don't think the
lack of scroll mode is one of them.
Your remark maks me think that you never wrote music on paper and had to
turn to a new page as you entered more notes.
