Wow, does that work like a charm, or what? I started using underscores as
elisions so long ago that I never bothered to re-read the manual to see if
there was a better way. Guess I should go over the manual again. (Sure wish
they had given me a hard copy :-) ...
Many, many thanks, Aaron.

I guess part of the problem for me is that I often use Finale to open up
MIDI files (just to get a rough sketch of what's going on in the song), or I
open up older files just to listen with HP. They are opened as "Untitled"
Finale files and always request a filename when Autosave is attempted

Thanks for response. I have no midi connected, and have no other use for

all well and good, but it seems that Finale 2004 frequently hangs when

It may well not be the SAME demo that Finale2004 becomes after 30 days
without registration. There may be something else that is disabled in
the demo. For instance, are all the same fonts installed with the

Matthew,
concerning the changes necessary for fonts to be used in FinMac2k4, you
should read the relevant chapter 29 in the manual. You'll find this on page

Are you running any other MIDI-utilizing programs at the same time? If so,
you may want to use a program called MIDI-OX to split your MIDI device's
