Hello folks,
The arrangement I'm working on is in 3/4 but the same note values could
easily be put in 6/8 or 12/8. I'd rather keep it in 3/4 the way the
composer entered it into Finale, but would love to add 6/8 in parentheses so
the players understand the rhythms more easily. Is there any way t

No, you don't need to do each instrument separately, you need to
highlight the entire score at one time and follow the process, so that
ALL notes/rests are acted upon at once.

200%. If the rests become real, they will double properly.

Hi All:
How can I take a section of music (24 bars) in 4/4 and change it to cut
time (2/2). It will become 48 bars.
Is there a Finale way or do I have to do it the old fashioned way and re
do it?
Thanks:

Brad has given you one response -- probably the best/quickest.
Another way would be simply to use the mass mover tool on every other
measure and Rebeam to Time Signature and select 6/8 as the time
signature to rebeam to.

Am working on a page that has 2 systems in Windows

Can't seem to get the time

Any help is definately

Many thanks to all who responded to my question about 4/4 vs. C.

You need to adjust your quantization settings to avoid this problem.
There is an option in the deeper options dialogs to Soften Syncopations.
Check this and it gets rid of all the tied 8th notes, leaving the
quarter notes.
When you change the time signature, Finale "adjusts" the music to f

probably there is 'Independent Time Signature' checked in db 'Staff

I am working on a piece that I did 6 years ago. I'm not sure what
version of Finale I used then. The piece was in cut time. I have now
changed it to 4/4. I have checked everything. I did not rebar the music.
Independent time signature was not turned on.
