I have some parts I inherited which are bound with 23-ring plastic
combs, and I need to rebind them. Does anybody know a good place to
order these combs? Even 21-ring combs would be preferable to the
19-ring combs I have. (Google was not particularly helpful.)

did not realize you were referring to the comb style bindings. I just
bought a punch machine for plastic coils from Nick Carter for my
scores and had a little trouble finding coils for 14" paper.

Not true! They look perfectly fine when inserted directly into Pages!
(The caveat is that Pages does insist on converting them to PDF before

curious about the issue. Here's a little test I did:
-Exported a page from Finale as EPS (including fonts and TIFF preview)
-Imported and placed that graphic (reduced in size) onto the original page.

For the record: I have learned that Word 2008 fixes the longstanding
problem with EPS on-screen. It also fixes the problem I was having
with generating a PDF from a Word document that includes EPS graphics.

A quick point of clarification: That only works on Windows. Mac moves
preferences to the Application menu, out next to the apple menu.
