Aloha Jeff,
Well, I suppose if a new DDS chip is the answer I dont have a problem if the
guys at Flex come up with one and I have to spend a few bucks to see the
improvement.
It is a great radio but I think this spur problem needs to be put at the top
of the pile and resolved somehow.
Stan
Theres a very small spur at 28.700 there are a few at up and down from 28.707
Same with 28.711 - up and down from 28.727
Basically there a quite a few all over 10 meters but the worse are at 28.580
to 28.585

Using preview 5, with the antenna disconnected, I hear an audible click
from the speakers. It also shows up on the panadapter screen as a jump in the
noise floor. Preview 4 doesnt do this.
Anyone else seeing this?

I just purchased a Cushcraft MA8040V for my place.
My understanding is these antennas work well.
Got this one for $200 from AES.
Bandwidth on 80/75 is supposed to be 100Khz 2:1 SWR
and they recommend only 8-10 radials.
I will let you know how this all plays out if you are interested.

drive it to full power.
If these finals are good up to 200 watts can a design change be looked at to
increase the output to 100 watts? What would it take to do this?
