Fellow Flexers,
Well, I just tried the first line of diagnosis and have the SDR working again.
I banged the case, and now have power output.
Not a good sign.

meter. Just zero power out.
Receive and all other transmit functions seem normal.
Where or at what would you look first? I have checked all setup and all seems
normal. I have rerun the wizard. Still no power out.
Thanks for any input.

difficult to tune an amp. With the power out jumping around. etc.
All calibrations have been done in the method suggested by various sdr users

the sdr to listen again.
This is not how I would like to operate. I would of course prefer to use the
sdr as a transceiver instead of just a separate rx. But so far, it's
unreliability as a transmitter has not allowed this opportunity. 20 months so
far.

The only thing unchanged so far is the soundcard - Delta 44.

t the same antenna with seven
other radios, swr 1.05-1.10/1.
Test with sdr, 3.00 .
Connect antenna lead to other radio, swr 1.05,
remove and connect lead to sdr, swr 3.00+.
This is on a digital meter connected between both radios and the antenna.
Enlighten this cooked brain please.

Again 1.6.1 works flawlessly with same set up.
I guess I will stick with 1.6.1 until I can figure things out.

Still can't figure out what I am missing or if it is a bug of some sort.

When operating 1.6.2, the ptt hangs. Still goes back to receive, but the ON
button stays red, and the scanner and vfo box is dim. I have imported
database from 1.6.1. The 1.6.1 works fine with the same settings.

Thanks to every contributor to the Flex system. I wish I could do more myself,
but my area of expertise is elsewhere.
Again, thanks to everyone for the time and effort to make this sdr radio a
constantly interesting and improving system of hard and software.
Multi Kudos.

Fellow SDR owners,
Has anyone done any work on the optimum value settings for the Noise
Reduction function of the radio?
I would appreciate any info regarding this as I would like to tweak it to
best use.
Thanks, Mike K5NU
