Dunno for sure. If you're brave you can open it up and reseat the sound card
there. At least it's cheaper than buying a new one. If your machine can't
find the device it's either bad or not seated properly. Being intermittent
would indicate to me a sloppy or loose connection.

If the prismo use's the same drive's as the lombard,
look for smartdisk drives in firewire caseing's they are cheap on ebay
at the moment, and most of them are Teac branded drives inside.
These make very good swap in/out drives in the old caseing's as the
connector cards have the same
