does a driver exist for this cardbus card (for my g3 wallstreet)?
i've done a lot of googling around, but haven't found anything. it

thanks!

john

I have an iBook and need to burn some info onto a 90 minute cd (there's
too much for the 80 minute). My computer doesn't recognize the cd as the
790MB that it is. Is there some setting I need to change or will my
computer just not work with the larger sized cd?
Thanks for any help you can give,

I used this card on a G3 Powerbook in OS9 without drivers - OK. I

For whatever reason, I seem to generate more static electricity than I would
consider normal. During the winter I spray my area with an anti-static
solution but the occasional zap still gets through. Heck, some days I wonder
if my demise will be the result of Spontaneous human Combustion!
Anyhow,

Also...Have you looked into getting a room humidifier??? I had the same
type of problem until I got a humidifier last year...The humidity in the
house was about 10-15%...Way too low...By running the humidifier I got
it up to the mid 30% range which seemed to eliminate the problem...

Use the simple, cheap steam type humidifiers. They don't make the white dust and
require only occasional cleaning and even that's pretty quick and easy. They also can
put out a lot of moisture in a short time which is what you need to avoid the static
charge.

You simply need to up date your Samsung Driver.
Go to samsung web site under support you will be presented with a vast
array of drivers
Choose the one for your unit and your OS. Install, restart and voila!
Hope that helps

Are the most recent Apple laptops to still boot OS 9: any iBook G3 and any
non-FW800 Powerbook 15?
Apple's list, for reference:

Figured I'd check with the list since people sometimes discover otherwise on
things like this.
Thanks-

I am curious about something though, you said you turned off DHCP to work
with your existing network. Are you using it as a bridge?
A: I just turned off DHCP so I could test the non-wireless part of

It used the DHCP

Hello,
I have a similiar situation in a Lombard.
Bought a 30GB Hitachi drive to replace the 6GB original IBM.
When I start from 10.2 CD, I run Disk Utility to initialize the drive,
but the program doesn't see the drive.
No sight of it.
If I put the old one back, the machine boots normally and

You are correct. The only Powerbook G4s that will boot OS 9 are the
Titanium ones, and the only iBooks are the G3 ones.

I'm not sure this is entirely related, but I have also reported a couple

replies. I have not tried a dial-up connection as I'm on DSL since
installing OS X, running fine and afraid to disrupt the harmony, but

Thanks for your help. It turns out that I was too eager to push
buttons. For general information, the sequence is as follows:
1. Attach the firewire drive
2. Reboot holding down the option key
3. Wait while the drive options are found and displayed and (for me)
there is about a 30
