I hooked up this G4 Power Mac M5183 that I've been working on to the HP
w2338h Monitor with the original video card that came with the Tower when new,
my first boot the resolution was 1440x900 @ 59 Hertz (it was calibrating on
boot) then we shut it down and rebooted and it calibrated again,

simple. (Maybe it could work, but it would need to be "flashed"
beforehand using a PC, so that's out for now.) You need to put back

SATA hard drives are bigger, cheaper and faster. Which means, if she

Just get a 250GB or 500GB PATA, and call it quits.

work your friend wants to do on it.
Get a nice and cheap 120GB or 160GB ATA/IDE drive and let her try how
things go.
