If it is Oracle, Tomcat, NCBI-Tools or something like that, you should
really put 2 GB+. If it is just a desktop machine you user for games,
development, and stuff like that, 512MB should handle it...

I have installed a Adaptec ANA-6944A/TX fast 4 port ethernet card (32-bit).
It works fine with the tulip dirver.
If i run ethtool on these ports i always get this error, never with my
