Hello,
I am having trouble setting up a GWC for an external WMS source on
geoserver-2.0.2. I have found documentation for doing it with the GWC
standalone and with the one integrated with GeoServer. I am unable to get it
functioning with an external WMS on the integrated GWC. If anyone has

Hello all,
we're trying to provide gml:TimePeriod elements in a WFS reply.
The mapping rules for the app-schema plugin are quite clear, but
what column type is required in the PostgreSQL database?
There is no native "TimePeriod" type in PostgreSQL, so the

Justin Deoliveira (OpenGeo's XML guru) is currently working on GML 3.2.1

the draft WFS 2.0 schemas (the spec is still not final). It will take a
while for GML 3.2.1 support to be established even in GeoTools. Perhaps

Hi Shaun,
finally had a chance to look through it and try it. I don't really see a
problem, but you probably have an (occasional) collision between what is
configured automatically and what is configured from the XML file.
Change

to something else (tiger:common_town_cached),
Does the same happen on a trunk nightly?
I don't really have a clue of what might be going on but it makes a cold travel
the back of my neck
Could you please try the latest trunk nightly and if you get the same result
please open a jira issue for it? I'll try to give it a run asap.

I see that answers have been given by Andrea A earlier on a similar

misunderstand something. Having tried several variations in the sld from
the tutorial, I am still having difficulty.

I have not used an external upload with GeoTIFFs recently. However, I work
with and on the RESTConfig API quite regularly.
The external.tiff notation cues GeoServer to accept a path to a file, which
it then loads directly. ("External" as in, you uploaded the file already

Hi Barbara,
There is currently work going on to support gml 3.2 in geoserver. Full wfs
2.0 has been spec'd out but is not yet sponsored, so will probably not be
coming for a while.
I imagine the gml 3.2 work will get into the 2.1.x branch of geoserver. But
nothing is certain at this time. I hope

Hi Andrea,
I've just run Oracle VALIDATE_LAYER and I get no errors (the datastore is

Also, the polygons draw correctly when I don't use the label layer as well.

Hi Andrea,
but the strange thing is that it also interferes with the polygon drawing
itself, is this to be expected? The label SLD_BODY layer is a separate WMS
request, so how does it interfere with the source polygon layer?
So it's not just one label which I miss, I miss a lot of polygons as wel

Yep, as predicted it's happening in the labeling code.
You'll loose one label there, no big deal, it should appear back
as you zoom in and generalization stops being a problem.

Hi!
And once more somebody is digging up this thread again... ;-) Do you have an

Ah right, does this work this way, I did not know.
I did not specify any schema in the datastore, and it's not really a
viable option for our setup, since that read-only user accesses about 25
different schemas (or even more)
I'll open up a JIRA enhancement issue if there is none for this al

Hi list,
on some maps drawn by Geoserver I get the exception below. Does this mean
there is something wrong with the dataset, or is it something else?
It seems be an intermittent issue, and it seems correlated with using an

Hi list,
I am trying to publish an Oracle table (using NG datastore) which is in
schema WEGEN (so full name of my table is
WEGEN. SPOORWEGEN_TREINSTATIONS), however I am trying to access the table
through an Oracle user which has sufficient rights to read the table (the
user is called RWS_LEZEN).
