Is it also possible for you to fix the "Steam.cfg"-bug? I have a list of
preferred content server ID's but the tool sometimes doesnt care about that.
Would be great to get it working so we can prevent downloading from the US when
the server is located in DK.

You can block the exact size of the packets in iptables (i think its 24 & 46
bytes on the ports.

Whopsy, i made have been too fast there..
It seems to me that they have forgotten everything about hl2. (making portal 2,
l4d1&2, hats for tf2,and the ob update for css).
The only hl2 related update that they have done the last 2-3-4 years, is to
port it to the ob engine, which they also did
Beause he doesn't care about the linux version. I also had that problem and
figured out to patch it with the older .so file. Garry are the guilty one, not
Valve.

If you dont run more servers than the amount of cores, you should assign the
servers to their own core. If you run more than the amount of cores, you
shouldn't.

This can be helpful for you, i had a similar problem some months ago. I were
told to try using a "Steam.cfg" file, which would tell the tool which content
servers it should use. That worked fine for me.

Normally, the packets that are send in other byte sizes, because srcds can't
handle those bytesizes (i think).
All the DoS-attacks i had used the packet size of either 24 or 46. I solved
this by blocking this byte size on the port (27015). I haven't had any DoS'es
since.

Many providers today, are selling servers with high FPS to gain customers. I
think it is one of the best sales tricks to get customers, as a service
provider. A time, there were a lot of talking about breaking the 1000 FPS
limit. A guy managed to do it, and suddenly, many providers began to sell

I am trying to figure out how to get my server to handle the many
players that visit my servers each day. I have a big 40 slots
deathmatch-server and a 30 slots rpg-server. Before the CS:S update,
the servers used to run just fine, but after, im getting huge
lagspikes and FPS-drops.
Yea, as i remember it, it should be something like this:
