Hi Andrew,
This is great. I've been thinking lately that the Humanitarian Data Model
needs a bit of a rework(1). Just meaning there is more information in the
wiki then ends up used in most cases through projects. Building an ontology
could potentially make it easier to digest. It can be hard
Hi All,

Hi Nicolas,
I hope you can appreciate that Twitter doesn't really work that way. When
hosting an event then hosts often decide on the hashtag ahead of time, but
often these things just happen organically. Typically you can guess a
hashtag for an event or series of hashtags. For example when a

Hi All,
NYPL has an awesome tool which I think we can look at for ways to help make
validation easier. I think the idea of focusing on one item to validate or
enter information about is great. This is similar to the MapRoulette vein
of microtasking.
Anyway check it out:
. There are architectural
decisions that were made because of this, so long term maybe some changes
need to happen.

Hi Yann,
I'll find out, there is a limit to the area that we can have on the Export
tool. Just meaning it was designed for fast dynamic processing of the data,
which meant we couldn't have the whole world.
I'll get back to you on if we can do it, I think it should be possible.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the suggesting, as Harry mentioned the github repo is a great
place for suggestions.
I've been looking at the most used pages in the HOT website and listed the
top 5 below for the past 30 days. So having better information on the get
involved page is certainly helpful. I've
Hi Nicolas,
I thought I saw somewhere that there was a hackpad or other document from a
BOF at SotM-fr. Could you share it here too? It would be great to iterate
on the two collaboration sessions.
Thanks,

It was mentioned earlier about how some groups, especially
humanitarian groups often choose to use non-commercial licenses on
their data. This of course causing an incompatibility with OSM.
There recently was a court ruling in Germany that decided that
Non-Commercial is only for personal use(1).
- the court decision you refer to is
out of scope here, even a very liberal view of non-commercial is too
restrictive for OSM.

I made a press sheet for the Guinea Ebola Response(1). Please add any
other information you see that is missing. One thing I didn't easily
find was total number of contributors and map changes since March 26th
which I think is a useful static.
If you do receive press interest specific to
