If you are having issues with JES2, what level of JES2 are you at. There are $PROCLIB statements available that allow you to specify the files without allocating them in the JES2 PROC. Second, is to have your customers/users JCL changed to use JCLLIBs. That way they can control their own procl

Unfortunately Netview isn't part of my software mix. At one time years ago, we had netspy from CA and I would assume it gave me that capability as well. I was hoping that VTAM would cut SMF records out-of-the-box, but it appears as though it doesn't. I'm sure mgmt would never allow me the time

I have a wierd problem, a programmer runs a job that creates a dsn (tst.report) then he ftp's it down to a server and then uncat/deletes it. Later on he runs the job again expecting the dsn (tst.report) to be empty. AND IT SHOULD BE. Well it's not in fact it has the same data as the first run.
