Hello Jaspal, Its always better to install linux after intalling win. In your case try to use a third party partitioning software which will try to make a new partition without affecting the original linux ext2. Then install windows on the new partition. This will overwrite your boot block.

Two things 1. Before starting the installtion process, verify that the media is fine. Redhat by default does this. 2. After you make the partitions there is an option to check for bad blocks on the partitions (forgot where exactly, but it has to be there), run that. -js
