I did the July upgrade for Jaws 2018 last night. Ever since, I haven't been
able to respond to a message in Outlook 2016 while the message is open. When
I try, Jaws says, "Microsoft does not recognize this key". However, if I
close the message and hit R for reply, I can reply without difficulty. I
shouldn't be in the Alt / Tab order.

I've just moved to a new location and everything is a bit confused. But I
thought all was well with my computer until I discovered a missing folder.
In Documents, I had a folder called Books. Humanware companion is set to
find books in that folder from BARD and Bookshare, and I can easily open and
IE11 will then ask you if you want to put a shortcut on your desktop.

Have you tried loading programmes/opening windows in other ways, I.E., not
from your desktop? Example, using the "run" command?

Occasionally, when I go to the desktop, I can't get a new window to open
unless I reboot the computer. I have windows 7 and IE 11 on a 64 bit
computer. I had to have a new hard drive installed in 2013 when my computer

Right now, I'm using Jaws 18 and Magic 14 at a very high magnification.
Magic allows me to see what I am writing in emails and in word. It tracks
the cursor. I have it set for light colored letters on a dark background.
Basically, I'm depending on Jaws. But Magic really helps as a backup.

Oh Dear, I followed the directions given to reset I E 11, but that probably
wiped out the sounds so would someone please, please, give me step by step
directions about how to turn the sounds back on so I can hear when my books
