Another way would be to put a boat winch on the back bottom rails, put a
pulley on the very top and then strap the the motor/headstock. The
cable winch could lift as well as lower. Truthfully, I like the jack.

Brigitte,The first thing I'd do is check the Blade Guide Bearings - and see if they are the older or newer version. If I wanted to save a bit of cash, I'd remove them, thoroughly clean and re-lube them. Lastly, re-install and see if that worked. Also check your owner's manual

works with shop vacs. I swear by it for saving the filter in the shop
