Jane, Your main problem here seems to have nothing to do with Legacy. BTW you do not say what report, if it is one of the Charts it may not save to rtf. My comments below refer to the Book Reports. Even the Standard Edition will Save a file as an rtf just check the radio button next to rtf

When every you overwrite any file, with any program, the previous files are replaced by the new ones. Legacy installs to C:\Legacy by default. If you want to keep old version(s) of Legacy and have new one just install Legacy7 somewhere else like c:\legacy7 then if you want to keep you old

I've finally figured it out and this must be the same for everyone. The Died field in the family view is misaligned so the data appears lower on the screen than it should. This results in the bottom of the comma being cut off - you can see the same thing with other letters with tails. A minor fix
