It seems odd to work on the basis that the lowest RIN is the top of the tree. I have normally found that, using such things as IGI, I work backwards and so the next generation back will tend to have higher RINs than the ones before, not lower. Also, how does one define the top. Is it the longest

There is NO attempt to pick the top of the tree in the tree finder. Legacy simply chooses the lowest numbered RIN as the person to show in tree finder so you have someone to select to view the group of people who are linked together to form the tree. The assumption by the person who started

I have a source which has attached itself to every event for a particular individual. Clearly, I did not manually attach this source to each of about 15 events. I am manually removing it from each event (except the 1900 census event to which it belongs). I have seen this happen a time or two
