Hello Paul, I think what you are looking at is the list of POTENTIAL items for which a source could be entered - if appropriate. In the same way, any new entered by you has Death and Burial listed in this potential list. I believe they cannot be removed but they will not show up in reports

Yes, click on View, Master Lists, Event Definition, Edit Census (or whatever you called it), then click on the box Private Event and save, then Apply to all occurrences. When you have finished printing, reverse the process to make Census no longer a Private Event. Hope this is what you want.

The description line of an event is limited to 255 Characters. The Event Notes would be a better place to write narratives. Notes can be up to 1,000,000 characters. Those are taken from the Version 4 Help file and are the same in 5 and 6. The Event Sentence Definition is also limited to 255

Peggy, I think Legacy 4 Deluxe had the capability for creating your own custom notes for events. I know both 5 and 6 have it. I do what you're talking about a lot. I write the custom event note/sentence as I want it to read when printed in the various reports. It makes more sense. But keep
