I am running 2.2.12. What I don't understand is if both md0 and md1 are
kicked out, why am I still able to use md2. I can read information
without any problems at this point. That seems strange.
Also, I'm still unclear on *which* drive specifically caused the error.

I have a proto-production Root RAID1 array set up, and it's mostly working
fine. I did have quite some trouble getting the root md set up and
booting, but now that it's done, it's stable.
I usually do a set of tests to know how well my R1 is working - 'hot'

Hi
I'm using a redhat 6.1 with a 2.3.21 kernel.
the raid/raid5 support is compiled in the kernel (aka not module).
I have 5 hard drives (IBM-DJNA-351520, 14664MB w/430kB Cache, CHS=29795/16/63,
(U)DMA) who are called hdb to hdf.
All of these disks only have one partition on them which is hd?1 and

With a safety (no idea how you write this) backplane, a disk shelf can
communicate with the SCSI card and physically turn off a failed disk for

I've mirrored only 2 partitions so far (/usr & /var). I originally created a
rescue boot diskette (before I started messing w/ RAID stuff) & it worked. I
have also re-compiled the kernel to include RAID1 personality,

work, I've been using Mylex Raids on our Netware servers for years.

I believe that's the source rpm for lilo. Where is the patch available. This

Hello, all.
I have been using Linux RAID for some time now with the AHA 2940 U2W
and SUN Diskpacks. I am at the point where four md devices and sixteen
SCSI disk devices are not enough.
My question is; How do I increase the number of these devices?
I have begun looking at the kernel source and

Hello.
I have a small question.
I have had two HD's in RAID0 for some time, with 16 in chunk size.
Yesterday, the second of theese HD's krasched,
on the array I had several files which was below 16K in filesize, containing
all kinds of passwords from serveraccounts

Can you direct me to where I can get this lilo.raid1 patch?
